How often does ESPN showcase a women’s game/match–in any sport–with a clock countdown on the top left panel of the screen?  How often since Sunday have you heard Julie Foudy’s voice calling the final play in the women’s World Cup match vs. Brazil on Sunday, and how many times have you seen The Perfect Cross by Rapinoe over the defenders and goalie directly to Abby Wambach for The Perfect Header?  How much impact has this match already had on the future of women’s sports?  Will it have equal impact to the victory of the ’99ers or greater impact ultimately?  This is my first blog posed in questions only but these are all questions worthy of exploring.  In 15 minutes, 10 seconds, coverage begins of the semifinal of US-France.  What are we expecting of this special team?   More to come …
